Since its establishment in 1981 Ortec Finance has always invested a lot of time and energy in applied scientific research. These research activities are concentrated within the Ortec Finance Research Center. Virtually every researcher at the Research Center has a degree in the field of economics, finance, econometrics or mathematics. The Research Center aims to be the linking pin between Ortec Finance and the scientific research community. The Research Center performs innovative, high-quality scientific research with a strong practical focus. The research results are used to enhance further development of Ortec Finance models and solutions.

The key objectives of the Research Center are to:

• Support Ortec Finance with results and knowledge from applied internal and external (scientific) research in order to improve the quality of Ortec Finance solutions and products
• Expose results and knowledge of Ortec Finance solutions, products and research to (potential) clients and the scientific financial research community, in order to create transparency and to facilitate and encourage open discussion with a goal to improve our models and solutions and ultimately our clients' financial decision making. 

The Research Center works on research projects defined in its annual research plan. The results of this research are published in working papers and in external scientific articles and journals. Our researchers regularly speak at seminars and conferences, and they maintain contacts with other research institutions such as Inquire Europe, Netspar and universities.
